This year has only a small group of people go to pagodas

Kompong Speu : In Kong Pisey district has a lot of pagodas that a lot of people always go to dance during Khmer New Year’s day.

Ang Lum Torng pagoda is a place in which many people come to dance and play popular games every year. However, this year has only a small group of people come to dance and play.

In the past, a large group of people came to play khmer popular games like Teanch Prat, Bos Angkonch, Chol Chhoung, and so on, yet this year at Ang Lum Torng pagoda and other pagoda have no people to play games because of the hot wheather.

The weather is too hot that can effect to people’s skin. This is a reason why people cannot go outside.  If they go to for a walk, their skin will be black than before. Moreover, they feel so lazy to go outside.

It would be fine for them to go for a walk if the weather is good. Take a notice that Khmer New Year is so important for them because they can go to their hometown to meet their relatives and go to pagodas. Even though the weather is too hot, people still go to pagodas as usual.
